Hershey's New Chocolate Bar Is Filled with Reese's Pieces and Can Your Tastebuds Even Handle It?

In the world of chocolate candy, Hershey’s and Reese’s are always crowd favorites. You’ve got your smooth, creamy, classic chocolate in a Hershey’s bar. Reese’s adds an extra layer of decadence with salty peanut butter.

Now, you don’t have to choose between just one of the iconic candies. The Hershey Company has created a brand new chocolate bar that’s a perfect marriage of your two faves: Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar with Reese’s Pieces candy inside.

I know, I know. This is a game-changer, indeed. Kriston Ohm, senior manager of Hershey’s brand, says, “The mashup between Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and Reese’s Pieces candy is an ultimate celebration of the top two iconic chocolate franchises that will melt your heart to pieces for a once-in-a-lifetime epic treat.” The new candy hits shelves nationwide beginning in late November. Are we on the same page here? Stocking stuffers!

The actual candy isn’t even the sweetest part of this collaboration, though. In epically perfect timing, real-life couple Jenny Ries and Craig Hirschey (yes, pronounced Reese and Hershey) recently got engaged. Once the chocolate brands caught wind of the engagement, it was clear that the new product launch could be represented by Ries and Hirschey’s literal marriage plans.

To celebrate, Hirschey and Ries were invited to Hershey, PA, for an engagement photo shoot. It’s like getting the golden ticket in Willy Wonka—with your future spouse! The couple had a chocolate-filled photo shoot with Hershey’s and Reese’s mascots around Hershey, PA. attractions such as Hershey’s Chocolate World, Hersheypark, and The Hotel Hershey.

Per a press release, Ries says, “This is a match made in chocolate heaven! We’re excited our favorite brands are helping us celebrate, especially since we all have matching sweet names. Craig and I can’t thank Hershey’s and Reese’s enough for throwing us the sweetest engagement celebrations.”

Keep your eyes peeled for the new Hershey’s with Reese’s Pieces when it launches at the end of November. It’ll be available in a standard size and king size. We were able to get a sneak preview of the new candy, and after tasting it…I’ll say this: Go with the king size.
