In a new episode of Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, the stars of Mary Poppins Returns are stopping by Garten’s kitchen to whip up a Mary Poppins-inspired meal.
“So, I’m thinking English tea, thinking white with tiers of cakes and cookies and candies,” Garten says in a promo clip posted to her Instagram account.
At the start of the clip, Miranda can be seen on his way to meet up with Garten, and he’s as excited as anyone should be to meet the Barefoot Contessa: Cook Like a Pro host and author of her newest cookbook of the same name, Cook Like a Pro.
“So, we are in the Hamptons to go meet the Barefoot Contessa,” Miranda says to the camera.
The clip ends in the cutest way possible. The threesome toasts to a job well done, saying Garten’s catchphrase in unison, “How fun is that?” to which Garten responds, “Is that what I say?”
People magazine also shared a sneak peek clip of the episode in which Blunt shows Garten how to make her roasted potatoes.
“This is this very nice, thin layer of vegetable oil. We’ve been heating it up at about 425 degrees,” Blunt tells Garten as she pulls the hot pan out of the oven. “You want it kind of smoking. It should hurt your eyes a bit when you bring it out.”
Miranda then makes an appearance, and Garten comes in quick with a great, perfectly timed one-liner: “You know what they always say, ‘Make potatoes and a man shows up.’”
And of course, Blunt and Miranda take a moment to promote their new film, which hits theaters Dec. 19.
In the clip, Blunt tells Garten and Miranda that while she’s cooking these potatoes, she’ll pull them out of the oven every 15 minutes or so to “tilt and coat” them with oil from the pan.
“‘Tilt and coat’ isn’t one of the songs on Mary Poppins Returns,” Manuel quips. They all share a laugh, and thus ends the most wholesome few minutes of all our lives.
