Krispy Kreme's Newest Service Will Make Your Lazy Summer Dreams Come True

When your day calls for an original glazed doughnut from Krispy Kreme, you’ll do anything to get your hands on one, even if that means driving miles out of your way. But as of last week, the North Carolina-based doughnut shop is cutting out the commute for many of us: Krispy Kreme now offers doughnut delivery.

Krispy Kreme’s delivery program launched in 15 states, including California, Washington D.C., Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Currently, that includes about 100 locations, and by the end of the year, the rest of the states with Krispy Kreme locations will follow suit.

As part of the program, Krispy Kreme will deliver to customers located within five miles of shops. The menu is limited for now, according to Food & Wine, and includes dozens, brew boxes and bottled beverages. So, no single doughnut orders, unfortunately. Delivery orders must also meet a $7.99 minimum, and you’ll pay a delivery fee on top of that. The other kicker is you can only order online, not on the Krispy Kreme app. Though, Food & Wine reports that app ordering is coming “in the near future.”

“Delivery service is currently only available in select stores as it is contingent on the individual delivery providers coverage areas,” Krispy Kreme says. “We expect to increase the number of Krispy Kreme shops that offer delivery over time.”

If you want an alert the second your zip code is added to the list and begins offering delivery, head to Krispy Kreme’s website. In the meantime, if you haven’t tried their new cream-filled original glazed doughnut, what are you waiting for?
