Every now and then we have a special animal in our care who needs a little extra help finding a home. This week, our Adoption Spotlight is on a sweet, spunky cat with a lot of love to give named Rufus! Rufus has been struggling to find the right fit, and he’s ready to finally find a loving home and his new BFF in the Los Angeles area.

Rufus first came to the ASPCA through Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, where he was brought in as a stray. Since late May Rufus has been patiently waiting for his adopter but is sadly being passed by for some of his younger kitty counterparts.

But Rufus is everything you could want in a cat—and more! During his stay with us, he’s spent some time living in a home with a foster caregiver who told us just how great and full of personality this cute guy is. Rufus is a handsome, affectionate young guy. He has a healthy appetite, loves to lounge around and is very curious.

Rufus is a total social butterfly and loves the company of his favorite friends. He will follow you from room to room, just to hang out and get some quality time in! Rufus is an active kitty who likes to explore, so he would benefit from plenty of playtime and enrichment in his new home.

Rufus would love to meet someone who is looking for a playful new buddy. He’s eager to find a home where he can become the king of the castle. Could you be the one for our pal Rufus?
