The Top Searched Trader Joe's Item in America Is Honestly Pretty Shocking

There are some cult favorite Trader Joe’s products that we expect people to lose their minds over. Mandarin Orange Chicken, Unexpected Cheddar, and Speculoos Cookie Butter are all popular items that we hear talked about all over social media, and new items like pink lemons and Everything But the Elote Seasoning have us racing to our nearest store to check them out. But it turns out that the most searched for Trader Joe’s product in 2020 is something totally unexpected: Brussels sprouts. Yes, really.

According to a study by WorkWise, the number one most-searched-for Trader Joe’s product in America is Brussels sprouts. It dominated the searches of states in the west and northeast while sharing the top-searched spot in the midwest with the Sublime Ice Cream Sandwich. Only the south was able to resist the curious allure of Trader Joe’s Brussels sprouts. Their minds were elsewhere: searching for the now-iconic Everything But the Bagel Seasoning.

Everything But the Bagel was the second most-searched-for product overall, followed by the Sublime Ice Cream Sandwich, Avocados, Plantain Chips, and Spiced Cider.

Some of the individual states, however, branched out from this group of products.

In California, the most-searched product was Soy Chorizo; in Washington, D.C., they were curious about Butter Chicken; and in Texas, folks wanted to pamper their skin with Rose Water Facial Toner.

Are you as curious about these products as others in your state? Or are you content to just head to the store to pick up a bag of Trader Joe’s brussels sprouts on your own rather than searching for them online? As far as we’re concerned, there’s no such thing as doing too much online recipe dreaming when it comes to TJ’s, but hitting up the store afterward is a total must. And if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, don’t stress — there are a lot of Trader Joe’s products you can buy on Amazon.
