YOU MUST TRY THIS! The most refreshing homemade blueberry ice cream in 2 minutes! I maybe a little late to this trend but I have a feeling this is the first time a lot of you have seen this! It’s SO easy to make and also very healthy! . Put 1 cup of frozen blueberries in a cup. Add your milk of choice (I used oat), just enough to cover the berries and stir it. Then let it sit for a minute or so before giving it another stir. It will magically turns into the frozen slushy ice cream. You don’t need to blend!! Enjoy! . The taste so refreshing. I can’t believe it’s only 2 ingredients and you don’t have to freeze or blend anything. Try it this weekend! ??I’ll be making this all summer. #blueberryicecream #traderjoes #foodhacks

The blueberry and almond milk treat went viral on TikTok earlier this year as a “food hack.” Basically, the Tiktok videos showed people putting 1 cup of frozen blueberries (and a spoonful of sugar, if you want to sweeten it up) into a bowl, pouring almond milk atop, and letting it sit for one minute. Then, mix it all up, let it sit another minute, stir it one more time. The way it works is, the blueberries should freeze the milk, turning it into a slush-like consistency.

“The taste is so refreshing. I can’t believe it’s only 2 ingredients and you don’t have to freeze or blend anything,” Trader Joe’s List continues to say.

This isn’t the first time this recipe has made its rounds on the internet. We’ve seen it shared on Reddit as far back as four years ago. Since, though, people have tried different types of milk, including oat milk and even hemp milk.

One trend I can get behind this #quarantine Blueberry magic ice cream ? I saw @traderjoeslist do this and I'm hooked. It's only✌️ ingredients. Place 1 cup frozen blueberries in a cup then pour milk (any kind will work, I used homemade hemp mylk, recipe below). Stir let sit for a minute or two then stir again and Ta-Da, magic in a cup. This is a fun activity for kiddos! Recipe for homemade hemp mylk below ? Homemade half batch hemp seed mylk: 1/2 cup hemp seeds 1 date soaked in warm water for 15mins 2 cups filtered water Blend in a blender for 1 min . . . Choose frozen organic and wild blueberries for an extra nutritional punch. Wild blueberries are rich in fiber and antioxidants. You can buy fresh blueberries and freeze to use ☺️ . . .
