The ASPCA Right Horse program is returning to Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio, on April 13-16 for another groundbreaking horse adoption fair, called the Adoption Affaire. Taking place at one of the world’s largest equine expositions, Equine Affaire, the event will feature more than 40 adoptable horses. The event draws in thousands of horse lovers from around the country for a tradeshow, breed exhibitions, riding demonstrations and the opportunity to adopt.
Equine adoption is still less common than dog or cat adoption, but that’s quickly changing as a result of our, and our Partners’, focus on advancing equine adoption efforts. With the goal of making equine adoption a more widely understood and supported way of acquiring a horse, the ASPCA Right Horse program has launched a series of equine adoption events to connect available horses to wonderful homes. By hosting the Adoption Affaire at Equine Affaire, the adoption barn also brings needed visibility and awareness of adoption to a large audience, which benefits at-risk horses nationwide.
Tickets for Equine Affaire are available to the public, and we invite ASPCA members and supporters to attend and meet the adoptable horses in the Gilligan Complex. Ready to plan your trip? Here’s where to find the important details:

Ten ASPCA Right Horse Adoption Partners will have horses available for adoption at the event, in addition to the ASPCA. The horses will range from small ponies to recently retired racehorses and everything in between. The ASPCA team will be on hand alongside our Partner organizations to introduce the horses to visitors, help visitors handle and/or test ride horses, answer questions about adoption and help people find their perfect horse. We hope to see you in Ohio!
