Kohlrabi is filled with thyme sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings

For the stuffed Kohlrabi

  • 2 medium to large Kohlrabi approx. 350 g – cut the top off, peel the Kohlrabi and then with a sharp knife from top to bottom once a criss-cross low cut, so you better cook
  • 60 g of soya sliced – 10 Min. soak in water, squeeze well and chop
  • 80 g of carrots – peel and finely grate as well

Liquid ingredients and spices

  • 200 ml of vegetables broth
  • 60 ml soya cream
  • 3 TABLESPOONS peanut oil
  • 2 TBSP Tamari (or soy sauce)
  • 5 TABLESPOONS water
  • 1 TBSP tomato paste
  • 1 TSP organic mustard
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 TSP paprika powder
  • 2 TABLESPOONS noble yeast flakes
  • Crystal salt
  • Pepper from the mill
  • 1 TSP finely chopped thyme

Preparation

Preparation time about 20 minutes cooking/baking time approx 45 minutes

The vegetable broth in a saucepan and bring to a boil, add the Bay leaf and season with salt and pepper. Both cabbage Raven in about 20 Min. with lid cook. Then remove from the pot and let it cool down.

Meanwhile, bring the vegetable broth to a low level about one-half to syrup, and then remove the Bay leaf.

2 TABLESPOONS peanut oil in a pan and fry the carrots, tents together with the Cut, Stirring occasionally, for 5 Min. fry for a minute.

In the meantime, the water, Tamari, tomato paste, mustard, Paprika, salt and pepper in a bowl and stir well. After the end of the 5 Min. the pan from the heat, take the mixture over the pan contents, mix together and season to taste with salt and pepper.

The oven to 170 °C circulating air preheat and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

The Kohlrabi – inclusive the cover – with the rest of the peanut oil brush and place on baking sheet. Then with the soy tents are cut to fill, the lid on and 20 Min. bake in the oven.

Meanwhile, the Hollowed-out together with the vegetable broth in a blender and finely mix, then back into the pot.

Then precious yeast flakes, and thyme in the vegetable broth, bring to a boil, the soy cream, stir and season with salt and pepper.

The Kohlrabi from the oven and serve with the Sauce.

To fit the filled Kohlrabi roasted potatoes, baked potatoes, boiled potatoes or a fine potato puree.
