It’s been a few months now since it was announced that Fixer Upper, everyone’s fave home renovation show coming to us from Waco, Texas, wouldn’t be returning to the airwaves anytime soon. Since then, we’ve been getting our fix of Chip and Joanna Gaines any way we can, whether that means stockpiling issues of Magnolia Journal, speed-reading Chip’s book Capital Gaines or signing up for a Target RedCard so we can buy literally every product in the Hearth and Hand by Magnolia line.
Well, the answer to satiating our Chip and Joanna longing could be as simple as buying a ticket to Waco to grab a cup of coffee at the couples’ newly announced coffee shop.
While the java spot doesn’t have a name yet, a spokesperson for the couple’s Magnolia company told People, “I can confirm that we will be breaking ground on our newest project, a coffee shop, early next month — our tentative plan is to open by year’s end.”
The new shop will be located a block away from Magnolia Market at the Silos and is close to the Gaines’ restaurant, Magnolia Table, too. Supposedly, they’ll have a full-service coffee bar where you can order drinks, an assortment of teas and freshly baked pastries. There will also be a to-go window and both indoor and outdoor seating built to deal with the estimated 30,000 people who visit the couple’s market at the Silos each week. Yes, that’s 30,000 people a week! Dang, we love our Fixer Upper fam.
Now, for those of us who can’t just jump onto a private jet and fly to Waco the minute the coffee shop opens its doors, there is still hope. Chip and Joanna are purportedly working with Discovery to create their own lifestyle-focused media network, which means we could see them back on our screens soon. Hey, a girl can dream! Now, back to reading Magnolia Journal as I sip coffee from my Heart and Hand coffee mug while watching reruns of Fixer Upper in the background.
