If you have a holiday you are planning for, you might be looking for the most efficient way to lose weight.
But unfortunately that is easier said than done.
Fad diets which promise to shed fat instantly don’t usually work long term, and can be dangerous for your health.
But there is something you can do which will help you with your holiday body.
Zac Yeo, personal trainer and nutritionist working for Origym, has shared his top tips on how to lose weight the safe way.
Some research has found you need a calorie deficit of 3,500 per week to lose a pound of fat.
You will do this if you create a calorie deficit of 500 per day.
You can do this with a mixture of eating less food and being more active – for example by walking.
But keep in mind, the NHS recommends a healthy, balanced diet of 2,500 and 2,000 calories a day, for men and women respectively, to maintain weight.
