'RHOC' Alums Heather And Terry Dubrow Just Added A Keto Component To Their 'Dubrow Diet'

  • RHOC alum Heather Dubrow and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, unveiled a new diet via Instagram.
  • The diet, called the Dubrow/Keto Fusion Diet, mixes the two popular diets.
  • For now, not much is known about the Dubrow/Keto Fusion Diet, other than two products it offers, available on online retailer Evine.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Heather Dubrow and her husband, plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow, MD, made headlines in October with the release of their book The Dubrow Diet: Interval Eating to Lose Weight and Feel Ageless and diet of the same name. Now, the two are back at it with a spin on their famous diet—this time, incorporating some keto principles.

In a new post shared on Terry’s Instagram, the plastic surgeon introduced a new version of his diet. “THE DUBROW/KETO FUSION DIET is here,” he wrote. “A BREAKTHROUGH diet for the rest of your life! Based on REAL science.”

The post is basically a video that shows the top searched diets in Google for 2018 were #1, Keto, and #2, the Dubrow Diet. The two words come together to form “The Dubrow Keto Fusion Diet,” followed by two products that the new diet will offer: Appetite Satiating Shakes and Primo Celery Organic Powder.

Not much else is known about the Dubrow/Keto Fusion Diet, tbh, but a link in Terry’s Instagram bio takes you to online retailer Evine, which sells the Dubrow/Keto Fusion Diet products.

Just FYI: The keto diet is a diet that focuses on mainly on eating lots of healthy fats, and the Dubrow Diet centers on 3 phases of ‘interval eating’ (not to be confused with intermittent fasting) that they claim can help you lose weight and also tighten your skin, promote hair growth, and give you energy, so it’s safe to say that the Dubrow/Keto Fusion Diet is a mixture of those two ideas.

Adding a keto component to the Dubrow Diet is a pretty big deal: In previous interviews, both Terry and Heather have downright hated on the keto diet. “I think the Keto Diet — no offense to those who like it—I think it’s kind of dumb. Physiologically… as a doctor… it’s really dumb,” Terry previously said. “So this is a diet you eat the way you normally do. It’s when you do it and of course we adjust how we do it.”

See all the celebs who actually love the keto diet:

“In practical terms, I don’t like the Keto diet,” Heather added. “It’s not sustainable and the thing about the Keto diet is, the minute you cheat, it’s over, you’re out of that ketotic state and any result you had is absolutely gone.”

You’ll have to wait and see what else the Dubrow/Keto Fusion Diet has in store, but if it’s anything like the two diets its modeled after, it’s sure to be a hit.
