  • She credits her nutritionist David Allen for her weight-loss success.

Shanna Moakler just made a big reveal on Instagram: She lost a lot of weight over the past year.

Shanna didn’t give an exact number, but showed off her weight loss in before-and-after photos. And, yep, there’s a noticeable difference. “I hid my weight pretty well but I wasn’t fine, I was super unhappy, miserable and I was working out like an animal with no results,” she wrote.

Shanna said there were a few reasons for this. First, she said she was on hormones that made her “gain 40 pounds.” She also said she “ate like sh*t because I was in a completely unhealthy relationship.”

So, she decided to make changes. Shanna, who is a mom of three, said that first she got a “mommy makeover” from Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Leif Rogers. “This was to fix my muscles which was probably the best thing I ever did in my life!! I am so grateful for him and his staff! And if you have had c sections or recti diastasis from babies look into it!” she wrote.

Then, Shanna said that she started working with nutritionist David Allen, who “finally got the hormones out of my system and got me eating properly, he custom makes plans to your blood work!! It’s epic!” Shanna said she used to be an emotional eater, and Allen helped her beat the bad habit.“I stopped eating for emotional pleasure and started eating to fuel my body,” she said.

Finally, she got a new workout plan. “I also started using @Bombshell_News workouts and conquered my fear of weights,” Shanna said, before mentioning that she also “ finally got out of a relationship that didn’t empower me.”

Shanna stressed that this all took a lot of work. “There was no easy fix, there was no overnight plan… but I had an awesome team and I now just work out daily, I still eat healthy but allow myself some good stuff, and I’ve learned soooo much from the whole experience the last two years! I hear from moms and newly divorced women everyday who are in the thick of things and I wanted to show if I can do it, I know you can too! ❤️👊🏼⚓️💪🏼”
