A 68-year-old woman with COVID-19, who had been in intensive care in an Illinois hospital for a month, started receiving the controversial drug ivermectin (Stromectol) recently after her family sued the hospital to have someone administer it.
The hospital could not find an affiliated doctor to administer the drug, so the family’s legal team found another physician who would, and the hospital granted that physician credentials to work at the hospital so he could administer the ivermectin.
