Thanks to beauty bloggers, makeup kits, YouTube tutorials, and (mostly) Kim Kardashian, contouring is no longer just for celebs. But this trend has officially gone too far: Now, even your legs are a target for the toning technique. (This comes on the heels of neck contouring being a thing, too. Seriously, is no body part sacred?)

From the looks of it, leg contouring takes a heck of a lot of time and effort. Plus, won’t those gobs of product just end up on your clothes (or literally anywhere you sit)?! Sounds like a lot of extra laundry to us. Plus, your legs probably already look killer in a cute sundress and heels anyway.

The bottom line: If you really want to add a little extra definition for a night out, there are simpler ways to do so. Try exfoliating and applying self-tanner, or dusting a light shimmer down the front of your legs to make them appear longer. Then, break out your highest set of heels. Easy, right?
