Australian Model Samantha Harris Shares Her Day On A Plate

She’s one of Australia’s most recognisable faces and an epic role model to boot. We spoke to the stunning Samantha Harris about food, fitness and finding a way to wind down on the regular.

What does a day of eating look like for you?

I usually get up at 7am and make myself a smoothie with spinach, banana, chia seeds, a little bit of honey and Califia Farms Unsweetened Almond Milk. It keeps me full and tastes great. I also find it kick starts my metabolism for the day.

Lunch is always a fresh salad with lots of avocado, spinach and always with a protein component, usually chicken.

With dinner, I eat early most nights and its always something quite light such as chicken or fish with some seasonal steamed vegetables.

What do you find are the biggest benefits of plant based foods?

Raw plants take time to digest and keep my energy levels at their peak during the day.

What’s your go-to coffee order?

My latest go-to is Califia Farms Cold Brew coffees. They are a delicious blend of cold brew coffee and almond milk, and since they are low in sugar and made from clean ingredients, it’s a much better alternative to other coffee products.

What’s your favourite way to work out and why?

I love going to the gym. I usually start out with a cardio work-out on the treadmill followed by resistance training. The cardio clears my mind and releases endorphins. The weights develop the muscles I need for jumping. The combination works well for me and my body reacts positively to the workout.

What’s the best health or fitness tip anyone has ever given you?

Be disciplined, never give up and even when your mind is convincing you not to work out, make yourself do it anyway, it always makes you feel better having done it.

What’s your favourite way to wind down?

I head straight to the beach or catch up with friends. I really need to have downtime to disconnect from the world.
