Subaru of America, Inc. Displayed Unwavering Support for Animals in 2020

During a year like no other, Subaru of America, Inc. consistently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to vulnerable animals nationwide.

Since the inception of our partnership with Subaru in 2008, we have received over $30 million in vital funds, which has helped impact more than 74,000 animals across the United States.

In 2020, we teamed up with Subaru to host their largest grant program to date. The ASPCA and Subaru Loves Pets Grant Program distributed nearly $700,000 in grant funding to 146 animal welfare organizations throughout the U.S. This funding supported virtual adoption events (or in-person events, as permitted) hosted in partnership with local Subaru retailers. As a result of this program, nearly 9,200 animals found loving homes to call their own.

Subaru also contributed over $500,000 to our COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Initiative last year. This thoughtful contribution helped to provide emergency relief for animal welfare organizations experiencing hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This collective generosity was made possible by the Subaru Share the Love® Event, in which we have participated as a national charity partner for 13 consecutive years. The 2020 campaign took place between November 19, 2020, and January 4, 2021, and helped raise awareness and nearly $2.5 million for our nation’s most vulnerable animals. Thank you to everyone who has supported the ASPCA through the Subaru Share the Love Event since this collaboration began.

On behalf of the many animals that we serve, we extend our sincere gratitude to Subaru and its retailers for their steadfast support of animals in need.
