In case we needed another reason to believe that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are 100 percent meant for each other, Miley’s latest reveal about their relationship offers further proof.
During a new interview on The Howard Stern Show, promoting her album Younger Now, Miley discussed her break with Liam, and how he quite literally couldn’t get away from her.
“When Liam—he’s my boyfriend now—broke up for a minute, he wanted to get away from me, he wanted to go to Malibu, and bought this house,” Miley said on the show. “He didn’t know it was the house I recorded my first album [Breakout] in!”
What’s crazier, the person who was selling the house was apparently well aware that Miley had recorded there and that Liam, who was looking at the property, was her ex. “The person hid all the plaques in the garage so he would still buy the house,” she said while laughing. “So then he went to move in and he was like ‘F*ck, I cannot get away, this b*tch is all over my f*cking house!’”
But just wait, because this gets absolutely adorable—as everything does these days with the 24-year-old and her movie star love: “So now that we’re back together, my song Malibu is about the house that I live in, in Malibu, which is where I recorded my first album,” Miley said. Now, if that’s not some ridiculously cute twist of fate, we don’t know what is.
While “Malibu” was clearly written about Liam, 27, who she calls the most “normal” part of her life, she explained that she didn’t let him preview her album before it came out. “I put this dude through so much shit…he’ll tell me something and then all of the sudden it’s in one of my songs… He said he bought the album [the day it came out] and was going to go take a shower and listen and I’m like…maybe DON’T.”
Miley and Liam have been nauseatingly cute since they reconciled, with neither shying away from public displays of affection. On Instagram Liam calling Miley “little angel” makes us melt, and in interviews Miley has gushed about their relationship, explaining that she had to re-fall for him and that she wants to tell the world how she feels about him in her music.
Okay, say it with us now: awww!
